CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM
The Central Alabama Gun Club hosts quarterly rifle matches sanctioned by the Civil Marksmanship Program (CMP). These matches include the John C. Garand Match for as-issue M1 Garand Rifles, the Springfield Match for as-issue 1903 and 1903A3 Springfield Rifles, the Vintage Military Rifle Match for as-issue bolt and straight full action military rifles and M1 Carbine Match for as-issue M1 Carbines. In the future CAGC plans to also conduct Rimfire Sporter Matches for .22 Rimfire rifles. Information about these matches and the govening rules can be found at the CMP website.
